Dr. Michael Beck
Born in a log cabin he helped his father to build, Michael Beck rose from this inauspicious beginning to relative anonymity.
A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in 1976, he was first introduced to the concepts of I. Franklin Miller in 1977 at his residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Administration Hospital by Ernst Blumenthal, DDS. In the early 1980’s it became clear that he needed to find techniques and systems of crown and bridge that followed this philosophy. Months of training and meetings followed with Eliot Feinberg and subsequently Eliot’s son Edward. Then many more years of classes and refinements.
Dr. Beck has also taken extensive continuing education in endodontics with Herbert Schilder and John West. In 1999, he began using a Global operating microscope and is among the few general dentists who utilizes one. He also has placed and restored over 1000 Bicon implants during the last 20 years.
It is notable that most procedures that Dr. Beck does have been augmented by his knowledge and use of the Fotona laser. This laser is a dual Neodymium – Erbium device. Both hard and soft tissue can be treated. This laser has thus enhanced the concepts of the Feinberg technique, making it another alternative for patient care. His laser experience spans over 18 years.
Dr. Beck has been in private practice in Brooklyn, NY for the last 42 years.
