Dr. Janet Zaiff has been practicing dentistry in Shrub Oak, New York for over 30 years. She received her DDS degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester in Biology and Economics. She is a Director of the Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry. She is a former Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University College of Dentistry. Her memberships include the American Dental Association, Pierre Fauchard Society, New York State Dental Association and the Ninth District Dental Association.

Dr. Zaiff practices general dentistry with an emphasis on esthetic, implant, and family dentistry. She has attended innumerable continuing education courses in the New York area and belongs to several local study groups.

When I first began practicing dentistry in Westchester, I signed up for Dr. Elliot Feinberg’s courses in Restorative Dentistry given through the Continuing Education Series at the Ninth District Dental Society. The course, taught at Feinberg’s office in Scarsdale, gave a limited number of dentists a first-hand observation of Dr. Feinberg working on patients performing his crown and bridge techniques. At the conclusion of the courses, I was invited to join the prestigious Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry. The Academy featured monthly meetings of dentists from the Metropolitan area having dinners, exchanging dental information, and attending lectures to improve dentists’ skills.

The Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry featuring Dr Feinberg’s evidence-based dentistry of patients followed over 25 years, with radiographic images, slides, and technical demonstrations has single-handedly been a top factor in improving my dentistry. The ingenious ideas and techniques based on principles of architecture and applied to teeth are evident in Feinberg’s patients that have had their dentistry last for decades.

ONWARD is the online site to expand Feinberg’s original master philosophy, headed by his son, Dr. Edward Feinberg. The lectures and resources available on the site are a worthwhile platform to continue improving my dental techniques and practice excellent dentistry. The site renews my interest in dentistry and keeps me connected to the dental world. It is unique in being able to learn from a brilliant educator and follow his techniques.
